Conexão BCM | Tiradentes

Brasil CineMundi – International Coproduction Meeting is a Brazilian cinema market event that takes place in annual and consecutive editions since 2010, in Belo Horizonte (MG). Consolidated as a market environment and platform for networking and business, the event builds connections between the Brazilian production and the audiovisual industry. Every year, dozens of audiovisual professionals gather to learn from and do business with future feature-length Brazilian cinema projects.

The event also carries out cooperation and exchange actions, business meetings and CineMundi Lab, which invests in training professionals in the audiovisual sector and discusses experiences and implications of the co-production format, seeking to reflect and disseminate knowledge about co-productions in Brazil and in the world and discuss the opportunities and challenges of this type of production for professionals working in the Brazilian audiovisual market.

For the third consecutive year, Universo Produção proposes the itinerant edition of Brasil CineMundi, called Conexão Brasil CineMundi (Brasil CineMundi Connection), a program that brings together market actions focused on Brazilian cinema and presents Brazilian feature films in the work in progress – final cut. This action takes place from January 19th to 27th, both online and in person, as part of the 27th Mostra de Cinema de Tiradentes (Tiradentes Film Festival).

Brasil CineMundi Connection extends the actions for the dissemination and internationalization of Brazilian cinema, promoting the visibility and diversity of Brazilian cinematography and its creative potential. In addition to the WIP sessions, screenings of Brazilian films in avant-première, debates, dialogue circle, case and networking platforms are part of the program.

Five feature films in the work in progress (WIP) – final cut phase were selected, which will be shown in closed sessions for an audience of professionals from the international and national audiovisual industry, with the aim of increasing their visibility, their possibilities of Exchange and their opportunities for insertion in the audiovisual market.
