VOD REGULATION IN BRAZIL

The major streaming platforms – most of them foreign – have already established themselves as important agents for the circulation of audiovisual works with a global reach, with Brazil being one of the main markets. Streaming represents challenges and new opportunities for the sector, for public film and audiovisual policies and for the geopolitical organization of information and knowledge, yet it remains unregulated. This debate is an invitation to think about and problematize premises and questions that can answer: what model of regulation do we want in Brazil?
