Passionate about arthouse cinema in all its forms, Ana Alice de Morais is the cofounder of the Brazilian company 3 Moinhos, responsible for the production and coproduction of various titles in Latin America, screened at festivals such as the Berlinale and the IFFR. As a producer, she has taken part in numerous international labs and residencies, such as Rotterdam Lab, Buenos Aires Talent, Berlinale Talent, and the Binger Film Lab. Since 2018, she has been based in Tiohtià/Montreal, Canada, where she holds the position of co-artistic director of RIDM – Montreal International Documentary Festival, as well as its professional market, the Forum RIDM. She also works as a mentor, advisor, selection committee member, and jury member for several events in the film industry.

Fez parte da equipe curatorial do Africa in Motion, na Escócia, do Durban International Film Festival, na África do Sul, e do Biarritz Film Festival Nouvelles Vagues, na França, além de integrar o comitê de seleção do festival Vues d’Afrique e do Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal (RIDM), ambos no Canadá. Desde 2025, preside o júri do Sembène-Kelani Film Prize, da African Studies Association (EUA), dedicado ao cinema africano. Doutora em Comunicação e Cultura Contemporâneas pela UFBA e pós-doutora pelo King's College London e pela Universidade Federal Fluminense, desenvolve pesquisas sobre cinemas africanos, festivais, circulação internacional de filmes e a indústria cinematográfica nigeriana.

Among his short films, he stood out with Pouco Mais de um Mês (2013) and Quintal (2015), both selected for the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes. He was honored at the 27th Tiradentes Film Festival (2024).

Born in 1973, Cosimo Santoro is an Italian distributor, producer, former festival programmer and film critic. In 2012, he founded the World Sales Agency The Open Reel, focused on the the promotion, distribution and sales of long feature films, shorts and documentaries of all kinds of genre, but with a particular attention to the new form of expressions of contemporary cinema. Several are the talents scouted in these years: among them French Damien Manivel, Spanish Jaione Camborda and Diana Toucedo, Argentine Santiago Loza, Brazilians Daniel Nolasco and Rafaela Camelo, Colombian Mónica Taboada-Tapia and Joan Gómez Endara, Indian Nidhi Saxena and Italian Simone Bozzelli. He directed El Viñedo (2000) and Matar a Todos (2006). In 2012, he premiered as executive producer Selkirk, the Real Robinson Crusoe, the first Uruguayan animated feature film, directed by Walter Tournier. He is also the executive producer of Vacío (Ecuador, 2019) and Eurídice, Allá Lejos (France, 2020). In 2024, was the co-director and screenwriter of the documentary La Huella de las Palabras. In 2025, he began working on Pueblo Chico, a stop-motion animated feature film, co-produced with Spain and Brazil, scheduled for release in 2027.

In 2017, he released Nada, selected for the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes, and co-directed O Nó do Diabo. The following year, in partnership with Maurílio Martins, he directed the feature film No Coração do Mundo (2019), which was screened at international festivals and released in both Brazil and France. His first solo feature, Marte Um (2022), premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, won over 30 awards across 70 festivals, and was Brazil’s official submission for the 2023 Oscars. His latest feature film, Vicentina Pede Desculpas, will premiere at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival.

From 2010 to 2020 she was head of industry at the International Film Festival Visions du Réel in Switzerland, following with project selection until 2024. In 2019, she became a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Oscar Academy). She is currently working on the film El Inventario, directed by Mexican filmmaker Ilana Coleman.

She has produced around 20 feature films including directors Adrian Sitaru, Béla Tarr, Julia Murat, Panos Koutras, Omar El Zohairy, Maha Haj, Ala Eddine Slim, Maya Da Rin, Amanda Nell Eu, Marcelo Caetano and Pedro Pinho among others. Production expert in several workshops of young producers such as in Toronto, Rotterdam, BAL Buenos Aires, BrLab Sao Paulo or at the Berlinale Talents, member in different juries, she was in the selection committee of the Cannes Film Festival Residency Cinef between 2015-18. She holds a degree in Film from Faap and also completed postgraduate studies in Screenwriting and International Distribution at Ucla (USA) and DFFB (Germany). Lidia worked for several years in the production and programming of film festivals in Brazil and the United States, being the coordinator of Ambulante California, created by Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna, and the programming director of HBrFF, focused on Brazilian independent cinema in Los Angeles. She also worked in development at the American production company Ambush Entertainment (films by Noah Baumbach, the Daniels, Marielle Heller etc.). For seven years she managed sales, acquisitions and festivals at the American agency FiGa Films. Later she led the international department of O2 Play, the distributor of O2 Filmes. She recently cofounded and is a partner in the international distribution company MoreThan Films and is a mentor and workshop leader for the Berlin Film Festival’s EFM Toolbox Diversity Program, as well as a consultant for the IFF Rotterdam Pro Hub and Locarno Open Doors, and program manager for the Locarno Industry Academy in Brazil.

She has been part of the team at the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival since 2001, playing a key role in consolidating the festival’s identity and current vision. Brazilian filmmaker, born and based in Contagem (MG). In 2009, he co-founded the production company Filmes de Plástico alongside André Novais Oliveira, Gabriel Martins, and Thiago Macêdo Correia. The company is behind dozens of films that have been screened and awarded at festivals such as Cannes, Rotterdam, Locarno, Brasília, and Tiradentes. In 2019, he directed his first feature film, No Coração do Mundo, co-directed with Gabriel Martins. The film had its world premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), was screened internationally, and had commercial releases in France and Brazil. In short films, he stood out with Contagem, which won Best Direction in 35 mm at the Brasília Festival (2010), and Quinze, which won Best Film at the Janela Internacional de Cinema do Recife (2014) and Best Screenplay at the Vitória Festival. His first solo-directed feature, O Último Episódio, is set to be released later this year, marking a new chapter in his career.

He is a graduate of Cinema and Audiovisual from Unifor and works in various areas. He directed the short films Figuras no Espelho (2023) and Olhos Abertos (2023), and collaborated on other works shown at various festivals, like Fenda (2024) and Kila e Mauna (2023), among others. In the education field, he has taught audiovisual classes at public and private schools in Fortaleza. In addition to leading Creative Africa Lab, Romeo also holds the position of Africa coordinator for Brazil-Africa Audiovisual Encounters and serves as the managing director of Hi Kigali production.

She began her film production career at Ciné Sud Promotion. She founded Parati Films with the spirit of being a company for cinematic exchanges, mainly between France, Europe, and Latin American countries. The dynamism of Parati Films’ four departments – production; consulting and event organization; script and subtitle translation; and production management training – has resulted in collaborations with numerous film professionals and international festivals. One example is the Cannes Film Festival, where from 2011 to 2021 Parati was an official partner of the Institut Français, and Séverine was responsible for project selection and coordination of the La Fabrique des Cinémas du Monde program. She also teaches International Co-production at EICTV (Cuba) and Film Production in the master’s program in Paris. Parati has just produced two short films: Salvo, a Documentary by Séverine Roinssard and Julio Lisboa (France), and Bolero Rojo, by Angel Molina (Paraguay) – premiered in Rotterdam 2026 – and is co-producing projects in pre-production: Corações Solitários, by Caru Alvez (Brazil), and El Lugar y la Esperanza, by Ariagna Fajardo (documentary, Cuba), with other projects in development. Séverine is also focusing part of her work on Crok Cine – Education and Image Project – aimed at social diversity, using auteur cinema as a tool.

She participated in the Locarno Industry Academy (2021) and the Taturana Mobi Impact Cinema Forum (2022). She is currently part of Descoloniza Filmes, a distributor awarded twice with the Human Rights Seal. With extensive experience in social impact campaigns, she aims to expand the circulation of thought-provoking works, prioritizing films directed by women and committed to social transformation.
