Brazilian filmmaker, graduated in History and Cinema, and co-founder of Filmes de Plástico (2009). He directed feature films such as O Dia que te Conheci (2023), which won the Special Jury Prize at the Rio Festival and Best Actress for Grace Passô, and the documentary Nossa Mãe Era Atriz (2023), winner of the Audience Award at Tiradentes. His second feature, Temporada (2018), premiered at Locarno and was screened at over 50 festivals, receiving awards both in Brazil and internationally. His first feature, Ela Volta na Quinta (2014), premiered at FID Marseille and was shown at festivals such as IFFR and Bafici, where it won the Special Jury Prize. In short films, he stood out with Pouco Mais de um Mês (2013) and Quintal (2015), both selected for the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes. Honored at the 27th Tiradentes Film Festival (2024), André is preparing his fourth feature, Se Eu Fosse Vivo… Vivia, scheduled for release in 2026.
