She is from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, has directed and served as executive producer for over 20 films, including Girimunho (2010), A Cidade Onde Envelheço (2016), Breve História do Planeta Verde (2019), Kevin (2021), and the recent Praia Formosa (2024), Suçuarana (2025), and O Silêncio das Ostras (2025). With extensive experience in international co-productions, her films have been showcased and awarded at major festivals in Brazil and around the world, as well as commercially released in various countries. She is a partner at Anavilhana and was a member of Teia, having created films, exhibitions, and installations with members of the group. In addition to production, Luana teaches workshops, participates in seminars, laboratories, consulting, and collaborates on various Brazilian and international projects.
