Colombian producer and filmmaker based in Berlin, founder and managing director of Urua Films, a production house and a creative platform for knowledge exchange. She was founder and CEO of the German production company Soilfilms from 2012 to 2022. Catalina studied Documentary Directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and the EICTV in Cuba. Her work has premiered at the Málaga Film Festival, Ji.hlava, Bafici, Achtung Berlin, Carthage Film Festival, and the Shanghai International Film Festival, among others. She leads the German mentoring program Into the Wild and collaborates with labs and institutions in Europe and Latin America as a trainer, consultant, and juror.
